Owner Mercedes Kotchev knows firsthand what it's like to spend pregnancy longing for reassurance. During both of her pregnancies, she experienced high-risk complications that replaced excitement with uncertainty. Bed rest, worry, and endless questions became part of her journey.

But for Mercedes, the heartbeat animals represent something far greater than an additional keepsake. Recently, she visited a family for a mobile ultrasound appointment that she says she'll never forget. The expectant father, 48 years old, was preparing to welcome his very first child. Throughout the ultrasound, he watched every movement on the screen in complete amazement. When Mercedes handed him a Heartbeat Animal containing his baby's heartbeat, his reaction caught her completely by surprise.

"He held it like I had handed him a trophy."

Before leaving, Mercedes gently asked why this was his first child. He shared that his late wife had battled cancer. Together they had experienced multiple pregnancy losses before she passed away.

As Mercedes drove home, tears filled her eyes. "These aren't just stuffed animals," she says. "They're memories. They're peace of mind."
