Finding Inspiration in The Last Black Unicorn
We have recently rolled out our amazing Vintage Black Unicorn, adding to our always growing Heartbeat Animal Collection. This new release deserves a bit more than our normal bells and whistles, though!
Inspired by actress, comedian, author, philanthropist and woman behind the ‘She Ready Foundation’ Tiffany Haddish, our Vintage Black Unicorn has a great story to tell.
Our wonderful friend and owner of Sneak-a-Baby Peek in Las Vegas, Nikki Karimi contacted us with an idea to help create diversity in an area of our society that it was lacking - pregnancy keepsakes.
Nikki is a close friend and supporter of Tiffany Haddish, and she explains that Tiffany participates and sponsors many activities that benefit foster children and the youth of our country. She grew up in the foster care system and has created a life full of passion and desire. Her book, ‘The Last Black Unicorn’ is a must-read, and because of this, our Black Unicorn was born.
Nikki realized that we had a black and a white sheep within our Heartbeat Bear Collection; so why not a black and a white unicorn? And, boy, was she right!
Instead of simply rolling this new Heartbeat Animal out, there needed to be a wonderful reveal and surprise, including Tiffany herself! Tiffany has had a hard time finding black unicorn items, so our product - and it’s ability to capture the most special of times - would catch her in a wonderful moment.
After many unicorns were produced, we settled on the perfect version, and Nikki surprised Tiffany with it. She immediately recorded a message for her ill grandmother. Knowing that our Heartbeat Animals can be used for so much more than they were originally created for - it brings us to tears. We wish everyone would save a moment, a message, a song, or a heartbeat.
Nikki has always loved My Baby’s Heartbeat Bear; as a wholesaler, it has not only brought her increased revenue, but her clients absolutely love the products. Sneak-a-Baby Peek has been and will continue to be blessed with wonderful friends, clients, and opportunities to impact the community.
