We are brought to tears by your sacrifice, especially while your family grows. Pregnancy can be hard, emotional, and life-changing. Whether it is a first pregnancy or fourth, growing life and expanding a family is a time when non-military families typically become closer. This can be more challenging if your spouse or partner is stationed away from you throughout the experience.

Cat explains that her Navy-wife friends are more than friends, “They all helped me when I was a first time mom getting ready for motherhood . My water broke at home at 1130pm. I had a wife drive me to the hospital. As I was rushed in I was told I was going having an emergency c-section due to my son being breech. That wife followed me into the OR where she became more then a friend but family.”

These relationships are the reason most wives have the strength, support, and confidence to continue expanding their own families. However, the connection with their husbands/partners overseas is not one to ignore. Our soldiers are missing this time, but they are not forgotten. Love conquers all, and the foundation of a strong marriage can be felt oceans away.
