This, combined with the heat and humidity of the summer months, may have you stressed out - and stress is not good for your pregnancy!

Being stuck at home (or at least 6 feet from others) has plenty of downfalls, but you can make the most of it by transforming your space into a summer oasis while you grow a tiny human!
Invest in a New Mattress
You want one that hugs you in all the right places. Mattresses generally last a decade, so invest wisely, as you will be sharing this one with your sweet baby as she grows and needs all.the.cuddles.
New Sheets are a Must
Summer sheets should be mandatory. There are also ‘cooling’ blankets you can use to keep your body temperature at a comfortable level instead of sweating while tossing and turning all night.
Pregnancy Pillow
Some of these large pillows can make you feel claustrophobic or hot, but others are made to be more breathable, flexible, and cool.
Install a Wonderful Shower Head
You will be spending countless hours in your shower this summer, a proper shower head is not only a must, but it is inexpensive and easy to install. Want to stand under a cool waterfall? Go for it. More in the mood for a strong blast from a firehose? Sure thing.
Misting Fan and Large Umbrella
You need Vitamin D (now more than ever), so getting outside time in is still essential, but it doesn’t have to be miserable. Invest in a misting fan for your patio area, and prop those feet up while lounging under a large backyard umbrella.
Drink Cold Mocktails for Fun
Make sure you have a list of delicious mocktails to try while lounging outside. You can host a happy hour with your next-door neighbor, even. But there’s just something fun about a pretty (and tasty) drink in the summer.
Blender for Smoothies
Smoothies are essential for an easy way to get in those nutrients and beat the summer heat. You want a no-fuss blender that can mix up a smooth, refreshing snack for you within seconds.
Inflatable Pool
These are hard to find right now, as mothers everywhere are desperately trying to find entertainment for their homebound children. So start searching and jump on one as soon as you find it! You’ll want one big enough to sit in, perhaps big enough to float in! (That just depends on your yard space and willingness to take care of the pool!)
Mineral-Based Sunscreen
Protect your skin with sunscreen that is actually safe. It may cost a bit more, but knowing that you are putting a safer lotion on your body is worth it.
Make Cold Meals
Think of all the ways you can pack in those proteins, fruits, and veggies without overheating your kitchen with your oven. Cold pasta salads, salsas, wraps, and every version of a salad you can think of - these should be your lifeline!
Fancy Water Cup
Your water intake needs to drastically increase throughout pregnancy, but add in the heat and you are going to be refilling your cup every 30 minutes. Pick a fun insulated water bottle (or jug) that will keep your water ice cold and help hold you accountable for consuming it!
