The Toddler-Approved Thanksgiving Menu
BRING ON THE FOOD!
It’s elastic waistband time, and I’m planning our Thanksgiving menu. We are opening our doors to friends with young kids this year becuase our extended family is traveling afar. Tables everywhere will be overflowing with food, laughter, and friends, and we are here for it! It got my wheels spinning on how to ensure the littlest (pickiest) eaters will be happy all day long while the adults eat, drink, and be merry.
When planning your Turkey-Day be mindful of options that the youngest guests will enjoy. You don't want to force-feed anyone, causing meltdowns or unwanted moments. You can let them help prepare the table, the place cards, and even the blessing. Including the toddlers and young children in the holiday will set the foundation for a love of helping and being grateful.
The Best Toddler and Kid-Friendly Thanksgiving Foods
I have tried a few versions of each of these each year and included the recipe that was the most well-loved by kids.
Even if your toddler eats a roll and a carrot, I’d call that a win.
Pour the wine!
I’m pretty sure you can figure out the dessert aspect, but if you are still baffled on sweets that kids will love, I recommend the following:
Traditional Cookies: Chocolate chip or sugar are always a hit.
Ice-Cream Sundaes - you can figure this one out!
Apple Pie (Hands-down the BEST recipe)
ENJOY!
