Recording
It's very simple! At every check-up, your doctor will monitor the heart rate of your baby using either a Doppler or Ultrasound unit. Remove the plastic tab before recording. Turn the switch to “R” position and squeeze the heart to record. Hold the heart within 2-10 cm with mic facing sound source for best playback. The LED light will remain on for the duration of your recording.
Playback
After recording, flip the switch from “R” to “P” position and squeeze to ensure desired sound was captured. LED will flash during playback
Lock the Recording
Ensure your heart is in the "P" position. Lock your recording by squeezing the heart for 5 seconds until a "beep" is heard. The recording will be locked and a new recording cannot be captured until unlocked.
Unlock the Recording
To unlock your recorder simply squeeze the recorder while on "P" until you hear two beeps.

Although your Heartbeat bear may one day need a new set of batteries, it will always keep your Baby's Heartbeat recorded for many years of enjoyment.
Our recorders will maintain the recording through battery changes; however, we always recommend backing up your recording through our app just in case!
To record the sound of your baby’s heart beating you will need a doppler. Your doctor or midwife will use a doppler to listen to your baby’s heartbeat at every visit. You can also purchase or rent a doppler through our website.
Yes! You can capture any sound on your recorder. Some of our customers have recorded their baby’s first words, a personal message or lullaby. The possibilities are endless.
Our animals are all approved for spot clean only however we have had a lot of feedback from our customers that washing on a cold gentle cycle works very well too. Just remember to take your recorder out and hang dry!
