Once you have held and listened to one of our stuffed animals with a heartbeat pounding away, you too will fall in love. I wanted to take a moment and write about our heartbeat animals and who we are.

Are you even a parent if you don't have a collection of miscellaneous cups, bowls, and toys thrown in the bottom of your bath tub?

You have about 40 weeks to mentally wrap your head around giving birth. You'll read and watch birth stories unfold, take birthing classes, and write out your plan to share with your birth team. You'll be as ready as you possibly can be, but what happens when those contraction waves start flowing? What happens when reality hits and you realize that you are actually going to birth a baby?

It is time to tell everyone about all the crap that comes with the postpartum season of motherhood.

Car seat accidents are the leading cause of death of children ages 12 and younger. No matter where you live, if there is ever a moment you decide it is cold enough to put your infant, toddler, or child into a coat or jacket, then please read this.

An angel baby will never be forgotten. Honor your baby this Christmas. 

YUCK. It’s the time of winter crud being passed around like crayons at the school table.  Even the little ones are susceptible.  Viruses are everywhere right now, and the warm to cold temperatures outside are not helping.

Flying with children is much harder than flying solo, or with another adult. BUT, flying with little ones shouldn’t deter you from flying.  Go ahead and book your tickets.  I will help you plan your way to a (somewhat) peaceful experience. A side note: Learn from my most recent overconfident mistake of not packing a second change of clothes for baby for the plane...  Yep, poop... EVERYWHERE.  

Go ahead and RSVP “Yes” to that party or gathering this season.  While having a newborn is a great excuse to get out of getting dressed up and socializing, you don’t have to stay home if you don't want to.
